International Awareness
and Involvement
Through international awareness and involvement projects, members of the chapter and the community broaden their knowledge and understanding of nations other than their own, and develop a greater appreciation for people of different backgrounds and cultures. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorpoarted supports seven IAI projects in Africa and Haiti. Seattle Alumnae Chapter supports Training Resources for Early Education (T.R.E.E.) serving children ages infancy to 4 years old in Durban, South Africa.

Seattle Limbe Sewing Circle
The Seattle Alumnae Chapter has partnered with the Seattle-Limbe Sewing Circle, a project of the Seattle-Limbe Sister City Associciation since it launched in 2015. Volunteers meet at First African Methodist Episcopal Church (FAME) to produce feminine care kits for schoolgirls in Cameroon. Chapter sorors and community members meet on the 4th Saturday of the month from 8:30 AM - 2 PM, cutting, stitching, ironing, and assembling colorful hand-sewn feminine care kits.
